U7/ Development (8:00AM - 9:00AM)

  • Focusing on skating, stick handling, passing, shooting instruction (basic skills)

  • Same format weekly

U10 (9:00AM-10:00AM)

  • Alternate weeks of Practice and Games

  • Practices will follow similar format to U7/Development with higher level stations.

  • Practices will be more skill focused

  • Rotating weeks for players to try playing net

  • Game Day Format - Lists will be concrete and expectation will be for parents to communicate with level representative/manager if their child will be away for a game.

  • Coaches will make up teams during practice weeks and there will be a team list posted when girls arrive on game day so they enter change room with their teammates.

  • Parents can help get girls ready but clear out for pre-game talks

  • Girls will do a typical game warm up then play full ice using the benches

  • Until Christmas these games will be learning opportunities (no score, stopping play to teach rules and strategies)

  • After Christmas more game style and a couple of exhibition games.

U14 (10:00AM-11:00AM)

  • Alternate weeks of practice and games

  • Practices will follow similar format to U10 building towards games

  • Practices will be more formally competitively structured

  • Practice format:

  • Power Skating/stick handling

  • Skill Focus - drills to work on passing, shooting, tips, break in, break out, power play, penalty kill, face offs, etc.

  • Fun games/scrimmage

  • Rotating weeks of playing net

  • Game Day Format:

  • Lists will be concrete and expectation will be for parents to communicate with level representative/manager if their child will away for a game.
